Acknowledgment

Liaison Meetings – Wednesdays at 4 PM or 8 PM (ET) via webex

Liaison Meetings are SUPREME’s prime platform to foster engagement among research scholars (students, postdocs, PIs) and the scientific leaders at sponsor companies (liaisons).

– A great opportunity to share recent progress on research projects.
– Liaisons scout future interns and hires—make yourself visible to your future colleagues.

When to present my results?

At any time – ALWAYS!

Students and Postdocs are encouraged to present as sponsors like to hear from the source directly and to discuss challenges in detail. Please chat with your PI, so that we can make sure to add you to the schedule.

SUPREME hosts approximately 35 Liaison Meetings annually and each meeting includes one deep dive presentations (20min + Q&A) and 1-3 short updates (á 10 min incl. Q&A). Meetings are not recorded to enable open discussion among attendees.

How to attend the LM?

LMs are open for all members of the Center SUPREME. If this includes you and you have never received an invitation, please contact supreme-admin@cornell.edu.

Difference to e-Workshops

e-workshops are an SRC-driven series of hour-long meetings open to the wider SRC community, not just SUPREME. Annually, each JUMP 2.0 center provides four e-workshops. E-workshops are announced via the SRC calendar including a registration link. Contrary to Liaison Meetings, all e-workshops are recorded and the recording link along with the presentation materials can be found via the Overview in Pillar Science.

Annual Review (July 22-24, 2025)

The 2025 Annual Review will be held July 22-24, 2025, at Ithaca, NY 14853. (registration and further details to be announced).

Tentative schedule:
– July 22 (afternoon), lab tours and Welcome Reception.
– July 23-24, 2-day Annual Review.

All-PI Meeting (May 14, 2025)

The 2025 All-PI Meeting will be held on May 14, 2025 at the Verizon Executive Education Center at Cornell Tech, Roosevelt Island, New York City, NY. Registration details TBA.

Access to Shared Materials

All access to SUPREME resources is governed by the individual PIs. In case of unexpected delays please contact the Admin Office of SUPREME at SUPREME-admin@cornell.edu.

Pillar Science

Pillar Science is an online platform hosted and governed by SRC that combines all elements of their programs, projects, results, publications, and user tracking. The platform is also linked to SRC’s homepage which is important when to register for an event.
If anything fails, please contact us at SUPREME-admin@cornell.edu, including Project ID and team name.

How can I get access to Pillar Science

Each PI manages their group members in their team and projects, see here for instructions to add or to remove scholars. Also, a video tutorial is available here.

Please follow SRC’s step-by-step guide.
An account with Pillar is required to access the platform and projects therein.

Equipment

Approval and budget requirements for any equipment purchase can be found here.

Travel

 All international on SRC funds needs prior approval. please contact the supreme-admin@cornell.edu.

International

All foreign travel requires prior approval. SRC guidance regarding allowable international travel and the approval process can be found here.

Domestic

If not included in the original budget, please consider a re-budget request.

Career Opportunities – Internships, Recruitment,…

Career opportunities at sponsor companies are advertised through SRC at their career portal. SUPREME Scholars at all levels are encouraged to check the job listings page found here: https://www.src.org/student-center/career/job-listings/. Also, SRC is hosting an annual CareerConnections event, typically at the end of February, so please keep an eye out for that communication.

Where applicable, scholars could consult with their liaisons whom they might be interacting with in their research activities. The liaison will be able to provide relevant connections within the company and recommend the student for potentially available positions.

Also, scholars should keep their resumé and dates of availability for internships or hire up-to-date on their Pillar Science profile pages and see https://www.src.org/student-center/handbook/resumes/ for general guidance too. 

e-Workshop (~ 4x a year) in 2025 on 2/11, 3/18, 6/24, 9/30

The SRC-driven e-Workshops are the forum to present recent developments in the field to the wider JUMP 2.0 community. Meetings are usually advertised few weeks in advance and require registration via www.src.org/calendar/.
